I am not really a fan of fighting games. The inputs are too complicated, and I get frustrated easily when I get destroyed online. That said, I did like Dragon Ball FighterZ, mostly because I like the franchise. I don't have much experience with SF, but after reading reviews and seeing how much...
Warhammer 40K Speed Freeks is a forthcoming car combat game in the vein of Twisted Metal. I don't have a ton of experience with the genre, and there's really not many games that fill that niche these days, so I was excited to give this game's free Alpha Test a try.
Believe it or not, I've never actually given Portal a fair shake. It's been in my Steam library forever, and I've played a few minutes here and there, but I've never actually sat down to really play it. Yesterday I randomly thought about it and decided to give it another go.
Unashamedly anti-colonial and anti-war, The Word for World is Forest is a fine novella written as a clear reaction to Vietnam, and while it's not among Le Guin's best or most well-written works, it's certainly worth a read over a few afternoons.
Beautifully written, but just not for me. It's rare that I don't find something to like in books that are universally regarded as classics, but this one just didn't grip me.
I like A Practical Guide, more than How to Rule an Empire, but less than Sixteen Ways. It's got Parker's typical droll and ironic main character, with healthy doses of humor and sarcasm throughout. There are some battles, some twists and turns, and it's overall just a fun read.
My name's Mike, and this is the Lore Depository - my spot online where I can write out my thoughts on games, books, tech, history, and anything else I find interesting.
My biggest project is my Game Library Project. I have a ton of games collected throughout the years, and have barely played any of them. Check out the linked post to learn more about the project, and click here to be taken to the category page where you can see all my posts for the project.
