Buzz Aldrin: Cycling Pathways to Mars

April 22, 2024 - Reading time: ~1 minute - Category: game library project

Very cool little educational experience about Buzz Aldrin's vision for a populated Mars. It only takes about 10 minutes to sit through, and there's no interaction, but the graphics are nicely done.

I think educational/edutainment experiences are where VR really has the biggest chance to shine. I don't think the games themselves are quite there yet, most of them seem like weak arcadey versions of "real games", but stuff like this is really cool and definitely gains something from being in VR. There's an unmistakable level of added immersion here, just being able to look around 360 degrees. Really, really cool stuff.

Verdict: Finished

My biggest project is my Game Library Project. I have a ton of games collected throughout the years, and have barely played any of them. Check out the linked post to learn more about the project, and click here to be taken to the category page where you can see all my posts for the project.
