Escort Yourself Out

March 31, 2024 - Reading time: ~1 minute - Category: game library project

Yet another itch.io game dealing with the dev's depression/trauma/etc. All of these games are the same, and while there's absolutely nothing here of merit as a video game, I'm not against people throwing their art out into the void if it helps them cope. The art style is nice enough. I just don't resonate with this kind of thing. Somehow, everything is traumatic. This person gets anxiety from hearing music play out of a speaker in a store. Like, come on. Everyone's got trauma, and that's valid, but some of the things people are so traumatized about border on the ridiculous. I try not to judge, but a lot of the more personal material you se eon itch.io reads very heavily like it was made by people who are very much terminally online and need to get out a bit.

Verdict: Uninstall

My biggest project is my Game Library Project. I have a ton of games collected throughout the years, and have barely played any of them. Check out the linked post to learn more about the project, and click here to be taken to the category page where you can see all my posts for the project.
