Gran Turismo 7

November 4, 2023 - Reading time: 2 minutes - Category: game library project

I have fond memories growing up of watching my brother play Gran Turismo 4 on the PS2. I never got into the series myself, but when 7 came out I decided to give it a try myself after having only played some of the games here and there.I like 7. You can tell the team really likes their cars. I'm not a car guy myself, so a lot of the nuance is lost on me. I don't really mess with the tuning or anything, it's all nonsense to me. I just like collecting cars. There's a ton in the game, and they get doled out pretty regularly.

I'm not totally impressed by the single player content, but they've added a bunch of events and tracks with post release updates, and now it's a pretty robust offering. The driving feels pretty good and leans more towards the simulation end of the arcade-sim bar. I'm more of an arcade fan, but the racing is still fun. I wish the AI raced a little more instead of being stuck on their line, but GT has always been more about time trials and the driving experience than the actual racing.

Verdict: Timewaster

My biggest project is my Game Library Project. I have a ton of games collected throughout the years, and have barely played any of them. Check out the linked post to learn more about the project, and click here to be taken to the category page where you can see all my posts for the project.
