Like A Dragon: Ishin!

November 18, 2023 - Reading time: ~1 minute - Category: game library project

I'm a huge fan of the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series. I'm played all the main games from 0-6 and Judgment, with 7 and Lost Judgment left to play. Ishin wasn't totally on my radar, being a remaster of a spin-off set in the past, but I was able to pick it up cheap so decided to give it a go.I'm only an hour or so in, but it seems like everything that makes me a fan of the Yakuza games is present here. Fun beat-em-up combat mixed with serious storytelling, wacky side stories, and minigames. The time period, at least so far, isn't as interesting to me as the mainline games, but I think it'll grow on me.

Verdict: Keep Playing

Update: After playing more and getting about halfway through the story, it's still not grabbing me like the other Yakuza games. This one is changing to a Revisit for me.

My biggest project is my Game Library Project. I have a ton of games collected throughout the years, and have barely played any of them. Check out the linked post to learn more about the project, and click here to be taken to the category page where you can see all my posts for the project.
