The Plague of Swords review

April 6, 2024 - Reading time: ~1 minute - Category: reviews

Another nice entry in this series that sets the stage for a big finale. A Plague of Swords retains the epic battle scenes and fun characters of the previous novels, while also explaining more about the enemy's motivations. If you liked the other novels and made it this far, you'll be satisfied with this entry.I really like this series, but I like it more for the chivalry and battles than I do for the magic and more fantasy elements. I think I prefer Cameron's historical fiction work to his fantasy - I enjoyed Tom Swan more than this series so far for sure. This is still great, but I think the fantasy elements are the weakest part of the series.

Excited to get into the final book and finish up the series. Knights are cool, the battles are some of the best I've read, and despite being pretty long these books move pretty quickly.
