The Crystal Cave review

| Reading time: ~1 minute

An excellent take on the Arthurian saga that I wish I had read earlier. The old wizard Merlin serves as our narrator, and this first entry tells the story of Merlin's birth as a bastard Welsh prince, up through his childhood and the conception of the future king Arthur. It paints a vivid picture of...

Pumpkin Jack review

| Reading time: 2 minutes

Pumpkin Jack is a solid 3D platformer with a Halloween theme. It's got 6 distinct levels, each taking between 25-45 minutes, for roughly 4-6 hours of playtime. The platforming feels pretty good, and isn't terribly difficult. There are a few spots during tricky sections where the controls can be a...

The Liberation review

| Reading time: ~1 minute

A conclusion that, while well-written, leaves too many plot threads unfinished and mysteries unexplained to be truly great. The Liberation feels rushed, and I came away with more questions than answers.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land review

| Reading time: 2 minutes

I've beaten Kirby and the Forgotten Land, and my thoughts echo those I had a week ago in my first impressions post. Forgotten Land is a nice evolution for Kirby while keeping the core gameplay the same. It's a fun, charming, and accessible game that should be a nice stepping stone for future...

A huge game with all the Bethesda trappings that somehow manages to feel really small. This is Bethesda's biggest game to date, with a thousand planets and hundreds of named characters and quest. All the marketing pointed to there being an entire universe full of interesting things to explore. The...

About

My name's Mike, and this is the Lore Depository - my spot online where I can write out my thoughts on games, books, tech, movies, and anything else I find interesting.

My biggest project is my Game Library Project. I have a ton of games collected throughout the years, and have barely played any of them. Check out the linked post to learn more about the project, and click here to be taken to the category page where you can see all my posts for the project.

Another project I'm working on is my Pokemon Living Dex Challenge, where I try to obtain one of each available Pokemon and transfer them into Pokemon Home.

Yet another project I'm working on is my Old School RuneScape "Completionist" Quest, where I'm attempting to max out all skills and see everything the game has to offer as a completely new player.

Other content comes mainly in 3 forms:
Reviews, where I post longer-form review writeups
Thoughts, short & quick first impressions posts
Guides, detailed how-tos and walkthroughs
