Crimson Desert is the big new game of the year, and as I often do, I fell for the hype. I've played for just a few hours and have barely scratched the surface of the game. There are so many systems and mechanics that it's honestly a bit overwhelming.
I've heard the game doesn't really open up and get good until around 8-10 hours in, and right now I'm only about 3, so I'm really just trying to get used to the controls and how the game works. The story seems like a big nothingburger, and the main character is a bit of a blank slate, but I'm trying it kind of like a Skyrim where it's more about exploring the world.
It seems like a good time so far, but they're putting patches out so quickly I almost want to slow down and take my time while they continue working on things. I'll revisit this one a bit down the road.
Verdict: Play Later
