Dispatch

November 28, 2025 - Reading time: ~1 minute - Category: game library project

I played the demo for Dispatch in the last Next Fest and really liked it, so with it getting awesome reviews I picked it up even though it isn't on sale.

Dispatch is an adventure game like the old Walking Dead games or Wolf Among Us, with a difference being that you don't move your character around in this one. You just watch cutscenes, interspersed with a pretty barebones management and hacking minigame. You make choices during dialogue that influence later events and how characters react to you.

The animation is incredible, and the voice acting is top notch. The writing is really good too. I'm not usually big on humor in games, but here they nicely ride the line between being funny and trying a bit too hard. I'm 3 episodes through the 8 episode season, and it's one of my favorite things of the year so far.

Verdict: Keep Playing
