Jacksmith: Weapons and Warriors

July 4, 2025 - Reading time: ~1 minute - Category: game library project

This is another one of those classic Flash games that's been given a little bit of a facelift and ported over to Steam. Unlike Sonny and Crush the Castle, I didn't have any prior experience with this one.

Unfortunately, this game wasn't great for me. Like a lot of Flash games I played as a kid, the gameplay is really simple and rote and isn't super engaging. The concept of being a blacksmith creating weapons for the AI and having no other impact on battles is a fun one, but actually playing the game wasn't a great time for me. It also ran weirdly terribly, for some reason.

Maybe if I need a game to play while focusing on something else this will be a good candidate.

Verdict: Maybe Revisit
