Stick It to the Stickman

September 20, 2025 - Reading time: ~1 minute - Category: game library project

Stick it to the Stickman is a followup to Stick Fight from a few years ago. That game was a local multiplayer party fighter where you played as stick men doing cool karate moves to beat up on each other. It was reminiscent of those old Stickmen Flash animations, and felt really good to play. This game is a roguelite with the same gameplay, and it's really fun.

I normally don't buy Early Access games, but this one was just a few bucks and is getting constant updates. There are a couple dozen playable characters, and each has their own unique moveset to start of a run. As you advance in the run you can pick up more skills that only effect that run, and between runs you can unlock some permanent upgrades. Runs only take a few minutes.

This is a really videogamey video game, if that makes sense. Pure fun. I'm not sure if it's one you can really "beat", but it seems perfect as a pick up and play game.

Verdict: Timewaster
