Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is a mission-based action game with combat a bit like the Dark Souls games, but not so tough. There's a ton of loot, and a bunch of different jobs you can spec into that have different abilities.
I've played for a few hours and really like the mechanics. The sheer quantity of the loot is a bit overwhelming but the game gives you tools to handle it. The different jobs are interesting and distinct, and they level up pretty quick. Leveling up the standard jobs gives you access to more advanced jobs with different abilities.
This game reviewed decently but has a really high community score, and I see why. It's a pure 'gamey' game and it's easy to see why gamers like it. There's definitely something to be said for a straightforward game that's not bogged down with a gigantic open world and 10,000 irrelevant quests.
Verdict: Keep Playing
