In a rare move for me, I bought an Early Access game. Titan Quest II has launched into Early Access, and it's currently on sale for less than half of the full price, so I decided to pick it up.
I played a very tiny bit of the first Titan Quest and didn't really like it. The Greek mythos appealed to me, but the gameplay was just a little too slow for my liking in this genre. 2, with plenty of modern trappings and QOL features, mostly feels pretty good to me. It's a little slow compared to Grim Dawn and Diablo 4, but the combat feels chunky and satisfying. At least this far in the game, it's less flashy and a bit more grounded.
There is a good base here. Base don reviews there's not a ton of content here, just a few hours. The devs say they hope to have the 1.0 release out in late 2026. I'm going to continue playing what's there, but once I'm done with what's on offer here, I'll probably shelve it till the full release.
Verdict: Play Later
