UFC 5

I've played a few of the UFC games in the past, and while I like them, I've never spent a ton of time with them. UFC 5 was on sale, so I picked it up with some credit I had for the Playstation Store. It's pretty fun, and definitely the best UFC simulator yet.

I've played a few matches just against the CPU, and it feels pretty good. The controls are simple enough while being complex enough to have some depth. I've never really enjoyed the grappling systems in these games, but the striking and kickboxing feels great. The difficulty also seems pretty fair. I won a few matches on Normal, and struggled on Hard. Menus are snappy and load times are quick.

I haven't jumped into Career mode yet, but reviews say it's pretty good. I'll probably play for a while before dropping off, like with most sports game careers.

Verdict: Timewaster
