Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2

December 25, 2025 - Reading time: ~1 minute - Category: game library project

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is a followup to the first Space Marine game, which came out quite a while ago and was a frantic and gory third person shooter. This sequel doesn't require having played the first, but keeps the gameplay style of the first.

I've played the first level of the campaign so far, and it definitely feels like an evolution of the first game. There's tons of enemies on screen, a brutal melee chainsaw, and a bevy of guns to use. It's a real power fantasy - you play as a mighty space marine, and at least on Normal difficulty you feel pretty invincible. It looks great, too.

I've heard that the campaign is not super long, and the real meat of the game is in the PvE and PvP postgame. I'm not sure how much I'll dive into those, but I'll definitely complete the main campaign.

Verdict: Keep Playing
