Another fun volume. Berserk has been consistently quality so far, and this volume is no different. Berserk and crew rescue Griffith, and we get our first real glimpse into the real meat of the story. The art, as usual, is excellent.
The inclusion of Wyald felt a little unnecessary with the upcoming eclipse, Zodd could have filled his role. He felt like a do-nothing character, just another monster to battle that didn't advance the plot, and while I'm not bothered by the violence and sexual imagery in Berserk, his attempted rape of Casca came across as egregious and did nothing to advance the plot or Casca's character. Casca is a great character, and reducing her dangerous moments to attempted sexual assault is cheap.
Very interested in learning more about the eclipse and seeing where the story really goes with Griffith. There's clearly far more going on that's only been hinted at.
