Berserk vol 6 review

October 7, 2025 - Reading time: ~1 minute - Category: reviews

Another excellent volume. The art is really something else, and the story is starting to pick up steam in a big way.

In this volume we get some more insight into Griffith's personality and motivations and see him playing more of the political game rather than just seeing him in battle. It's good character development, and for as charismatic as Griffith is, there's something a bit unnerving about him too.

I really enjoyed the Casca and Guts chapters, too. Casca's been a bit of an anomaly so far, and it was nice to see some of her origin story.

Berserk has cemented itself as one of my favorite manga. I really enjoyed Dragon Ball's humor and fight scenes, but the art detail and grittiness of Berserk is on another level.
