Mythos is a straightforward retelling of most of the most popular Greek myths. It's a brief, easy read with a good bit of humor.
Stephen Fry is very up-front in saying he's not trying to explain or contextualize these myths, he's simply retelling them. And that's true. But he does format them in a semi-chronological order and interjects with modern dialogue and humor to make them feel fresh. It works well - this is a great collection of these famous stories.
Definitely want to read the rest of the books in this "series".
