Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is a real visual treat and tells a fun story. The animation on display here is fascinating; there's so much going on in every scene, the characters move so well, it may very well be the most impressive animated movie I've ever seen.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse tells the origin story of Miles Morales, who I was only familiar with through the spin-off video game that served as a sort-of sequel to Insomniac's Spider-Man game from 2018. I'm not really a comics or Marvel guy, so my experience with Spider-Man is limited to bits and pieces of the Raimi films and some of the Avengers stuff.
I really liked this movie. It was well-paced, and told a tight, self-contained story while also leaving it open for future sequels. Miles is well-acted and voiced, and the cast of side characters (especially the multiverse Spider-Men) are really fun, and the multiverse characters are a nice homage to Spider-Man's different iterations throughout the years. The story is fun and doesn't devolve into a hard-to-follow mess like some multiverse stories can.
Even if you're not a fan of Spider-Man, I'd give this one a try. If you enjoy animated movies at all, you need to see this one because almost every second of this movie is a real joy to watch.
