Since finishing Dragon Ball, I decided to pick One Piece back up, and it's a lot of fun. In this second volume we meet some new characters, expand our crew, and fight some bad guys. It's classic shonen stuff, but it's done well and it's fun.

This one wasn't for me. An abrupt ending, very little in the way of explanations, and an increasingly unreliable narrator lead to a novel that, for me, was pretty unsatisfying.
The Vlad Taltos books are a comfort read for me. They fill a spot very similar to the early Dresden books, when they were still serialized monster of the week stories before the main plot truly developed. There is a chronology to these books, but the author says they can be read in mostly any...
Another excellent entry, and in my opinion an improvement on the first novel. Blood Feud pick up right where where Rise of a Champion leaves off, and is much more of a page-turner.
